Link Galway, with locations on Sandy Road and Newcastle, has received a funding boost of €100,000 for its initiative supporting people with a disability.
The funding will support the non-profit organisation in employing eight people with an intellectual disability to run a baking and catering service.
It will also allow Link Galway to accredit its culinary skills training programme, supporting people with a disability in their employment journey.
Manager of Link Galway CLG, Shane Tuohy, spoke to our reporter Sarah Slevin about the work they do:

People in Galway have been reacting to the violence in the capital yesterday, saying the 'appalling' scenes should be a wake up call.
34 arrests took place in the Dublin riots last night - 32 will be in court today.
Seven vehicles were set on fire - including three buses, three Garda cars and a Luas tram.
Eight other Garda cars were damaged, as was a fire truck - while 13 buildings in the city centre were damaged.
It's reported the riots evolved from a protest - which Garda Commissioner Drew Harris said contained factions of the far-right
The condition of a 5-year-old girl who was seriously injured in yesterday's attack at a school in Dublin on Parnell Square East remains critical.
Her carer, a woman in her 30s is also in a serious condition, while a 6-year-old girl is being treated for head injuries.
A 5-year-old boy suffered minor injuries.
A man in his 50s is also in hospital - who Gardaí say is a person of interest in the case.
It's believed he's an Irish citizen who has lived here for two decades.

Midlands North West MEP is warning that the cost of flying is set to soar.
Local MEP, Colm Markey says the price will go up unless there's a massive scale-up in producing sustainable aviation fuel.
He's hosting a conference with airline executives including Ryanair's Michael O'Leary in County Meath today.
MEP Markey says there's a long way to go for Ireland to meet its sustainable aviation fuel targets:

Over a quarter of a million people in the West were in employment between July and September
That's an increase of 12,500 people compared to the start of the year, and a ten percent increase compared to this time last year.
Nationally, almost 2.7 million people were employed during quarter three, with the unemployment rate up slightly to 4.6 per cent.
While CSO figures also show the proportion of young people out-of-work was up slightly to 12.2 per cent.
Sam Scriven (PR: Skriv-in) from the CSO's Labour and Earnings division, says most sectors saw increases in the numbers of workers in the past year:

When it comes to workforce planning, the Government's only idea seems to be getting graduates on a plane to Australia as quickly as possible.
That's according to Galway West Sinn Fein TD Mairead Farrell, who's been speaking in the Dáil on the HSE recruitment freeze.
She's told the Dáil that two of the most important things in life are housing and healthcare - and both are in perpetual crisis in Ireland.
Deputy Farrell said a recruitment freeze, when the system is "bursting at the seams", is particularly incomprehensible.
