Gardai are investigating an allegation that a camera hidden in the Loughrea Lake changing facility was the source of a photo shared online
Concerned locals have been seeking clarification on the matter
At today's Municipal District Meeting in Loughrea, councillors were told the Gardai are now investigating the situation.

The Minister for Justice is to engage with Gardaí in Galway today following recent public order incidents in the city.
Five men have been charged following an altercation on Williamsgate Street on Friday evening.
While, separately, four people are being treated for non-life threatening injuries at UHG following an large altercation at Galway Shopping Centre on the Headford Road just after 6 last evening.
Two men who were assaulted are receiving treatment at UHG for non-life threatening injuries while Another man and a woman are also receiving treatment at UHG for non-life threatening injuries after a vehicle was driven at speed at a group of people 
Gardaí are investigating the serious public order incident, with footage widely shared on social media.
A number of weapons and two vehicles were also seized.
Speaking to Galway Talks, Senator Sean Kyne, says action needs to be taken to address these incidents:

Bus Éireann has added capacity to its morning service in Gort.
An additional bus will now serve Route 434 leaving Gort at 7.30am and serving Ardrahan, Kilcolgan, Clarinbridge and Oranmore. 
Galway East TD Ciaran Cannon says the existing bus had often been full departing Gort, leaving passengers at subsequent stops without a service.
Deputy Cannon says it's important that bus services expand in line with their demand:

There's frustration over a lack of progress on installing a "badly needed" pedestrian crossing in Letterfrack.
Local councillor Eileen Mannion has once again raised the issue with Galway County Council at a meeting this week.
She argues that provision was made for a crossing years ago when roadworks were carried out by Transport Infrastructure Ireland.
But despite that, and long-running calls for the crossing to be installed, there's been no movement and there are no solid plans in place.
Councillor Mannion says it's long overdue and badly needed.

TG4 has launched its first ever dedicated children's channel 'as Gaeilge' in Baile na hAbhann this afternoon.
It's called Cúla4 and is aimed at children up to the age of 12.

Roscommon Galway TD Michael Fitzmaurice says farmers are fed up over plans to reduce their herd numbers:
It comes after the IFA  boycotted a meeting at the Department of Agriculture over changes to nitrate limits.
The change to nitrogen limits means some 3 thousand farmers will have to reduce their herd numbers, unless they rent or buy additional land.
Deputy Fitzmaurice says it's no wonder farming groups held the picket yesterday:
