Around three thousand students across Galway city and county will be recieving first round CAO offers today.
The class of 2024 celebrated their Leaving Certificate results last Friday, with grade inflation once again occurring.
Students can log onto their requested course from 2PM this afterrnoon to see if they have been successful in their application.
Eileen Keleghan Head of Communications with the CAO says it isn't possible for applicants to change their mind at this time.

A soccer match will take place in the city this week between Travellers and migrants to celebrate diversity and community in Galway.
The event is organised by Galway Communities Against Racism and Discrimination, with Galway Traveller Movement, Shining Light Galway and Galway City Council.
The friendly match will take place at Mervue astroturf pitch on Friday at 7pm and the public are encouraged to attend.
Vusi Thabethe of Shining Light explained to David Nevin where the idea came from.

A plan which will determine timelines for different UHG campus development projects has been delayed until October.
It will include details of an Emergency Department, a Regional Cancer Centre, incorporating Maternity and Paediatric services into one building, along with underground parking.
The proposed plan, which was due to be completed this summer, will determine the order in which critical projects scheduled for the UHG campus should be developed.

Galway is in for another wet day, with a status yellow rain warning coming into effect later today.
From 3PM this afternoon until 10AM tomorrow, Galway is under the alert, alongside Cork, Kerry, Mayo, Leitrim and Donegal.
Met Eireann says there’s a risk of localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions this evening and tonight.

The heavy rain leading into tonight's Status yellow rain warning for Galway will make flooding more likely according to Met Eireann.
The warning for Galway and Cork, Kerry, Clare, Mayo, Donegal, Sligo and Leitrim will run from 10 tonight until 10 tomorrow morning.
The heavy and persistent rain may lead to localised flooding according to meteorologist Jennifer Foran.
Jennifer is also warning about travelling conditions tomorrow morning.

University of Galway SU President says the State needs to take responsibility for providing student accommodation.
With the new college term just weeks away, there are only 151 houses to rent in Galway, Cork, Limerick and Waterford combined.
Rents have risen by over 10 per cent in all these cities year on year.
UG's Students Union President Faye Ní Domhnaill says the State needs to step up.
Faye Ní Domhnaill says the rent crisis means many students are either commuting or working to pay for accommodation.
She says it adds huge stress to student life:

More than half of Galway workers didn't use all their holiday days last year.
That's well above the national average, according to new research from FRS Recruitment.
For those who had days remaining, 43 percent said they were paid for them, while 23 percent carried them forward.
Nationally, over 40 percent of workers didn't take all their days last year.
